Job Description

As a general specialist with us, your duties will primarily focus on patient care at the health center. Working days are varied, and in your interactions with patients, you work both independently and as part of a team with other professions at the health center. Improvement work for the entire health center is an important part of daily operations, and as an employee, you have the opportunity to influence and contribute to the development of the business.

In the role of MLA, you have overall medical responsibility for the operations and actively contribute to developing quality, patient safety, and working methods at the health center. The assignment involves leading and coordinating medical development work, serving as a support for colleagues in medical matters, and participating in local management and improvement processes. You work in close collaboration with the operations manager.

As MLA, you are also part of a network with MLAs at other region-run health centers in Västmanland.

About the Workplace

The 11 region-run health centers and the health centers' emergency clinics in Västmanland are operated as an intrapreneurship with a board and Region Västmanland as the owner. The operations are gathered under the name Närvården Västmanland, and together we work to offer accessible and high-quality primary care throughout the county. Närvården Herrgärdet is a well-established clinic in the center of Västerås. We are responsible for approximately 12,500 registered patients, and our clinic includes doctor and district nurse clinics, maternal and child health care, physiotherapy and occupational therapy services, as well as counselors and dietitians.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a specialist in general medicine with clinical experience. You have a strong interest in quality and development work, good collaboration skills, and the ability to lead and inspire colleagues. Experience in medical leadership responsibility or similar assignments may be meritorious. In addition, you have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and preferably experience with the medical record system Cosmic.

You possess personal maturity, meaning you are stable and confident in your professional role, and you meet patients and colleagues with respect and sensitivity. You should be able to adapt to changed circumstances, as anything can happen at a health center. Good ability to collaborate and communicate with others is of great importance. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and value engagement and a positive attitude in work.

Employment Terms

The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date as agreed. The assignment as MLA is time-limited with the possibility of extension.
