Job Responsibilities

We are looking for nurses for the Healthcare Emergency Center in Västmanland. As a nurse at the Emergency Center, you receive calls regarding care and people in crisis from the emergency number 112. Do you want to work in a small team with a high sense of responsibility and a focus on the patient's best interest? At our workplace, you will receive an individual introductory training at the start of your employment as an Emergency Operator, with supervision and onboarding tailored to your needs. Collaboration with SOS Alarm, rescue services, police, and healthcare providers is also part of the work, as well as referrals to the appropriate level of care.

About the Workplace

The Healthcare Emergency Center is responsible for medical prioritization and dispatching of ambulance resources within Västmanland.

We collaborate with the regions of Uppsala, Sörmland, and Värmland. Together, we serve approximately 1.3 million inhabitants. The centers are located in Uppsala, Västerås, Eskilstuna, and Karlstad. The Healthcare Emergency Center is also present in the Region of Västra Götaland as we together help nearly a quarter of Sweden's population.

The Healthcare Emergency Center Västmanland is part of the Ambulance Care within Region Västmanland.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with at least two years of experience.

For the position, it is required that you are empathetic, solution-oriented, and capable of making decisions based on the information you receive during the call. The tasks require that you master the Swedish language fully in both speech and writing. You also have good knowledge of English. Additional language skills are considered meritorious.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability. It is meritorious if you have experience from emergency care and/or telephone advice.

Terms of Employment

We offer a permanent position with start date upon agreement. Location in Västerås. The position is full-time with shifts during day/evening/night.

There is also the possibility of rotation to ambulance/other operations.

We have an advantageous working hours model and provide introductory training when you start with us.
