About the Role

We are currently looking for event staff who wish to work at trade fairs and events at Svenska Mässan in Gothenburg. As event staff, you are a vital part of the visitor experience, working in a social, service-oriented, and varied environment where thousands of visitors pass through every day.

As event staff at Svenska Mässan, you are the face of the venue towards its visitors. You are assigned a main area and contribute to creating structure, service, and professional hospitality throughout the event. Working hours vary and can include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. We appreciate flexibility, as shift times may vary.

The assignment is flexible and periodically intense, meaning there may be periods with no work for a few weeks, but when a fair does take place, there will be many hours over a few days, which can compensate for the rest of the month. This makes the role particularly suitable for students, retirees, or those with another primary occupation who wish to work extra when needed.

Examples of tasks include:

• Greeting visitors as an entrance host
• Working as a hall and stage usher during seminars
• Handling coat check-in and check-out as a cloakroom attendant
• Working as cashier at entrances and sales points
• Providing good service and information to visitors during ongoing fairs or events

About You

We look for someone who is service-minded, outgoing, and customer-focused. Interacting with other people comes naturally to you, and you have a genuine desire to create a positive experience for every visitor. You are attentive, solution-oriented, and able to handle different types of people in a professional and friendly manner, even at a fast pace. You communicate fluently in Swedish and to some extent in English.

It is an advantage if you have a flexible schedule and can step in on short notice.

Key Requirements for the Role:

• You are service-minded, outgoing, and customer-focused
• Good knowledge of Swedish, and comfortable communicating in English
• You have a flexible schedule and the ability to work on short notice
• You are at least 18 years old
• Previous experience in customer service is an advantage

Please note that you must be a student, retiree, or have another primary occupation of at least 50% to be eligible for employment.
