RESPONSIBILITIES

As an SFI teacher, you are responsible for planning, conducting, assessing, and following up on teaching according to current guidelines. You meet adult students with different experiences, educational backgrounds, and goals, which requires flexibility, relationship-building skills, and a language- and knowledge-developing approach.

The position includes teaching in Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) in classrooms and/or remotely, as well as teaching in vocational Swedish and vocational SFI. The assignment involves mapping, assessing, and following up on students' knowledge development, as well as working with digital learning environments and tools to support learning and teaching.

You collaborate closely with colleagues, study and career counselors, employers, and other external actors to create good conditions for students' development and establishment. The position also includes active participation in the systematic quality work of the operations.

Depending on the needs of the operations and the applicant's competence, other tasks within adult education may also be included in the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have:

• teacher certification with eligibility to teach Swedish as a second language and/or Swedish for Immigrants, or alternatively, other education that the employer deems relevant for the assignment
• good ability to create structure, motivation, and participation in teaching
• an inclusive approach and a strong focus on student learning
• confidence in the use of digital tools
• ability to work independently while thriving in collaboration and collegial learning
• good oral and written expression in Swedish

It is meritorious if you have experience of:

• teaching in municipal adult education and SFI
• remote teaching
• vocational Swedish or vocational SFI
• language- and knowledge-developing approaches
• working with students with varying educational backgrounds
• collaboration between education and working life
