Norrland's Dragoon Regiment K 4 in Arvidsjaur is one of Sweden's newer regiments, but has a long and distinguished history. The unit is capable of operating in all environments across Sweden. Combat capability in the subarctic environment is the regiment's core and specialty.
K 4 is now seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator based in Arvidsjaur, who wants to help build an organization during a period of growth. The position is located on the personnel department (G1) at the regimental staff.

Main Responsibilities
As an Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator, you will lead, coordinate, and develop the unit's systematic occupational health and safety work within physical, psychosocial, and organizational health and safety. Within the framework of your professional role, the coordinator is responsible for being an expert resource in occupational health and safety legislation and supporting managers at all levels within the unit in conducting systematic occupational health and safety work, ensuring that current legislation is followed, with the aim of enabling managers to exercise their occupational health and safety responsibilities.
You are responsible for keeping up to date with occupational health and safety legislation and developments in the field, to ensure that work and support always take place against the background of current legislation. The coordinator is responsible for maintaining the unit's internal guidelines and routines for occupational health and safety work. The role requires an understanding of the military context.
Common tasks for the Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator include:
- Drafting policy documents regarding occupational health and safety goals
- Leading, coordinating, and conducting training for both managers and employees
- Identifying and following up on development needs and developing action proposals for occupational health and safety work
- Collaboration with, among others, managers, union representatives, safety organization, and military healthcare
- Preparation for and participation in the Occupational Health and Safety Committee (also the Safety Committee)
- Contact with other parts of the Swedish Armed Forces and other authorities
- Compiling relevant statistics
- Supporting in incident reporting and work injury notifications
The role also requires understanding and knowledge in other HR areas. You will, among other things, support work related to gender equality and equity as well as rehabilitation. You are also expected to actively contribute to developing methods and working practices within the entire personnel function. The role requires the ability to participate in military operations and exercises.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Completed upper secondary education
- Very good administrative skills
- Academic education in HR/personnel science/occupational health and safety or other education/experience that the employer deems suitable
- Very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing
- Good knowledge of the Office package
- Category B driver's license

- Experience of service in a state authority
- Experience of service in the Swedish Armed Forces
- Experience of working with PRIO (SAP)
- Experience of working with occupational health and safety issues at a comprehensive level
- Experience of working with HR
- Experience of working with gender equality and equity
- Experience of working in a communicative and collaborative role
Other
Employment type: Permanent. Begins with a 6-month probationary period for those not already employed by the authority.
Employment level: Full-time. Working hours are primarily during the day, but work during evenings, weekends, and longer exercises also occurs.
Work location: Arvidsjaur. Travel in the course of duty occurs.
Civil position.
Individual salary setting applies.
Start date: As soon as possible, according to agreement.
