Description

Nordhemsskolan is a historic municipal school (grades F-9) located in the heart of Linnéstaden, at a convenient distance from the city center and Slottsskogen park. You can easily reach us as the tram and bus networks converge at Järntorget, just north of the school.

Over 750 students attend the school, with approximately 75 in lower and middle school. Nordhemsskolan is heavily invested in learning, focusing on high-quality teaching in a secure environment. The school consists of a regular school and an adapted school for students with special needs, led by a team comprising the principal, three deputy principals, and approximately 100 staff members. Nordhemsskolan works with PALS – a school-wide approach based on relationship-building, clarity, and structure, implemented on both a promoting/preventive and direct action level. Nordhemsskolan is a music-profiled school, meaning all students have extra music lessons in addition to the standard curriculum.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a teacher in Mathematics, Science, and Technology for grades 7-9.

At Nordhemsskolan, you will plan, implement, evaluate, and develop teaching together with students and colleagues. Your goal is to ensure students acquire knowledge and values that provide a solid foundation for further studies and a good adult life. You will have an accessible manager who is open to new thoughts and ideas. You are expected to be a confident leader with strong subject knowledge and the competence to build good relationships.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated and certified as a teacher with eligibility to teach Mathematics, Science, and Technology in grades 7-9.

To ensure that newly graduated teachers get the best possible start in their profession, you will participate in the School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction program for new graduates. This introduction provides you with a network of other new graduates and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.
