NU Hospital, part of the Region of Västra Götaland, is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at Norra Älvsborg Hospital (NÄL) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. Our catchment area covers 280,000 inhabitants. Together, we are approximately 5,000 employees working every day to provide good and safe specialized healthcare. We are located on the west coast, and our area offers varied nature including sea, mountains, forests, and lakes.

You will have a rotating position between the Intermediate Care Unit (IMA), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at NÄL, with the possibility of rotation to PACU at Uddevalla Hospital.

Our units

• IMA (Intermediate Care): A bridge between intensive care and general wards. You follow the patient through critical phases and contribute to stabilization and recovery.
• IVA (Intensive Care): Here we care for patients with acute and complex conditions. You work closely with doctors, assistant nurses, and other nurses in a high tempo where every effort counts.
• UVA (PACU): Post-operative care with a focus on security and rapid assessment. You are present when the patient wakes up and ensure it happens safely and calmly.

Who are you?

You are a registered nurse, preferably with a few years of experience. You are curious, engaged, and want to develop in an environment where you can fully utilize your competence. Experience from emergency care is meritorious, but most important is your willingness to learn and contribute.
