The IT and Digitalization department works continuously to improve the security of the region's IT environments. As an IT Security Specialist, you work with information security and IT security issues in close collaboration with various IT operations groups and representatives from the business units. The region has a clear goal to shape a threat-adapted and secure IT environment. This means strengthening existing and creating new IT security capabilities for both today and the future. This is an expansion of resources to our IT security team.

Responsibilities

In the role of IT Security Specialist, you work both operationally and strategically to develop and strengthen the region's information and IT security. You will implement technical security solutions and coordinate the measures required during changes in our IT environments and systems. The work also involves contributing to issues concerning overall architecture and security-related decisions. The role involves many contact points where you collaborate with different parts of the organization to identify areas for improvement and strengthen our IT security capability. You will also participate in procurement processes and contribute with requirement specifications from an IT security perspective.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a university degree in cyber security, information security, IT security, or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have practical experience with a risk-based approach and working with technical solutions within IT security. You have good knowledge of cloud, AI, and IAM solutions as well as Microsoft security solutions and security products. You also have the ability to translate policy documents and guidelines into concrete technical actions in practice.

It is an advantage if you have certifications in security solutions from Cisco and/or Microsoft or other relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or similar. Knowledge of ISO/IEC 27000 is also an advantage.

You work in a structured, rational, and non-hierarchical manner, take personal responsibility, and appreciate collaborating and contributing to the team's joint work.

About the Department

The IT Department is one of the largest IT workplaces in the county with approximately 170 employees. We are responsible for coordinating, managing, and leading IT development in Region Örebro County. This is a development that concerns both future healthcare information support and e-health, as well as administrative systems and infrastructure.
