What does it mean to be a Resource Nurse in Neurology?

Elin, the Resource Nurse, shares – The work as a Resource Nurse is varied and enjoyable. You meet many new colleagues and learn to work within different specialties. I feel appreciated when I arrive at the different wards, and many ask when I will be back next. Sometimes I get the opportunity to follow a patient through the care chain on different wards, which I find very educational.

As a Resource Nurse, you will receive training on our units based on your previous experience. You belong to a home ward but work on the various wards included in the resource pool: the Stroke Ward 85B, the Neurosurgical Care Ward 85E, and the Neurology Ward 85D. Depending on your preferences and the department's needs, your shifts will be placed on the wards with the greatest need during the scheduling period. You participate in training days on all wards and are offered courses for competence development within neurology.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse with a few years of professional experience. Experience in emergency or neurological care is preferred.

Your Competencies

Are you curious, do you like to be challenged, and do you want to learn more? Then we would love for you to join the team in Neurology. You adapt easily to changing circumstances, varying tasks, and fluctuations in pace. You are confident in your professional role and have good collaboration skills. We open the door to a deep dive into the varied world of neurosurgery and neurology! Great emphasis is placed on your personal qualities.

We Offer

• A permanent position as a full-time nurse with a time-limited assignment as a Resource Nurse for 2 years (with the possibility of extension). The position involves rotational duties.
• Individual salary setting with a salary supplement for rotation between wards.
