The Social Care Administration works according to a value base where all people we meet have the same value and are unique. Within the administration, there are approximately 900 employees working around the clock for our target groups.

The Role

We are currently looking for a Personal Assistant for one position in Avesta. The role involves working based on an implementation plan tailored to the user's needs. The duties include personal and some medical care, such as assistance with meals, dressing and undressing, personal hygiene, and transfers. Delegated nursing care may also be included.

The work is performed in the user's home, where they live with their family, or at other locations where the user is present. This implies close cooperation with the family. There are animals in the home.

A large part of your work involves planning and coordinating the user's daily activities. You will also provide support during leisure activities, such as riding and stable activities. Working hours vary between days, evenings, and weekends.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a completed upper secondary education, such as a nurse assistant education, the Child and Youth program, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. Experience working with people with disabilities is an advantage.

Since the work includes leisure activities, you must be able to participate in a stable environment during horse riding. You drive your work forward, take responsibility, and have good collaboration skills. You relate to other people in a listening and flexible manner and have the ability to put yourself in others' perspectives.

Personal maturity, a sense of responsibility, and respect for the user's integrity and self-determination are important qualities. Since some tasks may involve lifting and transfers, a physique capable of handling this is required.

Good communication with the user and their family, as well as documentation, is central to the role. Therefore, good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required. Basic computer skills for documentation, scheduling, and email correspondence are mandatory. A valid B-driver's license is required.
