We are now looking for a support assistant for Liljekonvaljen's group home, located in a residential area approximately 4 km from Falun city center. We are looking for you with education and experience working within the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) framework. The group home consists of four apartments as well as common areas.

As a support assistant in a group home, you have the opportunity to make a concrete difference in other people's lives. The work consists of developing the individuals' independence in daily life, as well as leisure activities according to each person's abilities.

The work requires empathy and understanding for the individuals' situations. You will get a rewarding and challenging job where you help others while learning new things.

Job Responsibilities

The work as a support assistant in our group home involves supporting the residents in their daily lives. In your role, you should have a professional attitude, provide security-building measures, and work to maintain and develop the individual's abilities.

The people living with us have functional variations and are in need of support and care. As an employee, your task is to work according to the individual's needs, implementation plans, as well as established routines and job descriptions so that you contribute to the operations maintaining good quality.

The measures can consist of providing support to residents inside or outside the home, personal care/hygiene, shopping, cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc. The work also includes delegated nursing tasks, documentation, collaboration with representatives, relatives, and licensed healthcare personnel.

Qualifications

Requirements for the role:

• For the role, you must have adequate education: Assistant Nurse (Undersköterska) or other education that the employer deems equivalent
• Knowledge of the intentions of LSS legislation, including the resident's self-determination and participation
• Experience of previous work within LSS or other work that the employer deems equivalent
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing
• Experience using various computer systems

Since the work involves some solo work, it is required that you are confident in yourself and can make independent decisions within the framework of your assignment. For you, documentation and follow-up are a matter of course in everyday life to ensure quality for each individual. You will also work together with other support assistants, therefore it is of great importance that you collaborate well with others and can work structured according to current routines.

As a person, you are responsible and can work flexibly. It is also important that you are development-oriented and creative in finding new ways to increase the resident's independence and communication. To meet the individual resident's life situation, requirements are placed on personal commitment, self-drive, empathy, and the ability to be present in the work. Furthermore, it is important that you have a professional approach in your work. The work can be both physically and mentally demanding.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience within the NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) field
• Knowledge of mental health issues in combination with disabilities
• Training in Low-Affective Response and/or Studio 3
• Sign Language

Terms of Employment

The recruitment concerns a permanent full-time position with a start date of August 31.

The basic schedule is divided into 6-week periods, and the operation applies full-time to everyone. You will also be introduced to one additional operation, as we actively work with staffing optimization. This means, among other things, that you will be scheduled at another unit as well, and that you may be transferred to another unit if needs arise.

The position includes day, evening, weekend, revised on-call duty, and solo work.
