Do you want to work closely with people while helping to shape the future of vocational rehabilitation?
We are now looking for a Work Specialist for the Employment and Integration Unit in Mora Municipality. This position is linked to a new ESF-funded project where, together with healthcare, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, we are developing more coordinated and individualized support for people with mental health issues and complex needs.
The project is based on the IPS model (Individual Placement and Support) and combines individualized support with systematic follow-up and close collaboration between healthcare, authorities, and the labor market.
This is a role for you who want to work relationally, long-term, and work-oriented – where the focus is on creating real opportunities for work and studies for people who have been far from the labor market for a long time.
With us, you will:
- Work closely with people and make a concrete difference in their path toward work or studies.
- Be part of developing a new approach to vocational rehabilitation in Mora Municipality.
- Work in close collaboration with psychiatry, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and the Swedish Public Employment Service.
- Join an engaged team that works with trust, structure, and shared learning.
- Have a role with significant personal responsibility and the opportunity to influence.
- Have the opportunity for competence development within IPS and vocational rehabilitation.
The position is a project employment during the project period 2026-09-01 – 2029-06-30.
About Us
The Employment and Integration Unit is part of the Social Services Administration in Mora Municipality. Here, we work to ensure that more residents achieve self-sufficiency and increased independence.
We develop our approach together, working with evidence-based methods, individualized support, and close collaboration between different actors. With us, you will meet an engaged team where we support each other, share knowledge, and take joint responsibility for our mission.
Responsibilities
As a Work Specialist, you work closely with people who are far from the labor market and who often have mental health issues and other complex challenges. You coach, motivate, and support participants in the process toward work or studies.
The work is based on the IPS method, where the individual's goals, motivation, and strengths are at the center. The focus is on creating progression over time through individualized support and close collaboration with other actors around the participant.
The role is clearly outward-facing. You actively work to create contacts with employers and identify opportunities for internships, work training, and employment.
You will:
- Plan, implement, and follow up on individual interventions.
- Work motivationally and supportively based on the IPS methodology.
- Match participants with work, internships, or studies.
- Build and develop relationships with employers and other collaboration partners.
- Work proactively and network within the local community.
- Collaborate with psychiatry, the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and other actors regarding the participant's progression.
- Work systematically with follow-up, progression, and documentation.
- Contribute to the development of methods and collaboration within the project.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
- Have a university degree in a relevant field, such as behavioral science, social work, support pedagogy, or another education that the employer deems equivalent.
- Have experience working with people in transition.
- Have a good understanding of labor market issues and work-oriented rehabilitation.
- Have good digital skills.
- Have a B-class driver's license, as travel occurs in the work.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience with IPS or Supported Employment.
- Experience working with people with mental health issues or complex needs.
- Knowledge of MI (Motivational Interviewing) or similar approaches.
- Experience collaborating between authorities, healthcare, and labor market actors.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

The work of the Social Services Administration is regulated by laws and ordinances, primarily the Social Services Act (SoL), the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL), and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS).
