Investigator with a focus on Solvit and Standardization

Swedish Chamber of Commerce (Kommerskollegium) is Sweden's authority for foreign trade, the EU internal market, and trade policy. We work, among other things, with EU free trade agreements, opportunities for Swedish companies to import and export, and trade-related development cooperation. At Kommerskollegium, you will find yourself in an international environment where major trade policy issues are mixed with concrete problem-solving for individual companies and individuals. Our vision is sustainable trade without barriers. Around 100 employees work with us, and our activity-based office is located centrally in Stockholm.

Kommerskollegium is a growing authority with several new tasks. Since the summer of 2025, we have also been a preparedness authority with sectoral responsibility for the new sector of foreign trade within the Swedish civil defense.

Job Description

Do you want to help protect and strengthen the core of EU cooperation, the internal market? Do you have a good understanding of the EU, free movement, and the role of standardization in EU cooperation? Then you should apply for the role of Investigator with a focus on Solvit and standardization.

As an investigator in the unit for the EU internal market, focusing on Sweden's Solvit Center and standardization policy, you work on removing barriers to the free movement of persons and companies. You monitor trends, analyze problems, and conduct legal investigations. As part of the job, you often communicate with private individuals, companies, or authorities. Other tasks include responding to consultations, leading training initiatives, and providing information to businesses and citizens. The role may also involve participating in the authority's efforts in development cooperation, where we, among other things, support candidate countries in their integration into the EU internal market.

The focus of the role may vary over time, and other tasks within the unit's or the authority's areas of operation may occur. The work includes both domestic and international business travel.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a relevant legal education with a good understanding of EU law. We prefer that your education has had a focus on the EU, and the role presupposes that you have knowledge of how the regulatory frameworks for the internal market function or how the EU's organization and working methods look.

You have documented and current experience of analysis and investigative work within EU issues from, for example, an authority, EU institution, or within the business sector. It is also meritorious if you have work experience related to the free movement of goods, services, or persons on the EU internal market. We also appreciate that you have international experience, for example from working in EU institutions.

You express yourself easily in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

To succeed well in the job, it is important that you are meticulous, have good analytical skills, are driven, proactive, and want to develop through challenges. Furthermore, it is important that you are receptive, flexible in contact with others, and collaborate well.

Salary: Monthly salary.
