We are currently looking for an Interim Business Controller for an international company headquartered in central Stockholm. Here you will have a broad and business-close role, working closely with the management team, line managers, and international subsidiaries on matters related to reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost monitoring.

Practical Information

• Location: Central Stockholm
• Hybrid work: approx. 3 days in the office
• Assignment: Interim/consultancy assignment for approx. 12 months
• Start: Flexible start in June/July or mid-August

About the Assignment

This is an interim/consultancy assignment with a duration of approximately 12 months.

The client is flexible regarding the start date and may offer a soft start a couple of weeks in June or the first week in July for handover and introduction. However, a longer summer holiday is requested, with the preferred main start date from the client's side being mid-August for handover.

About the Role

As a Business Controller, you will become part of the Business Control team and work both operationally and closely with the business. The role involves significant autonomy, where you drive processes forward, monitor deadlines, and ensure that reporting and underlying data maintain high quality.

You will work with both established processes and areas that are still developing, meaning you need to be pragmatic and comfortable in an environment where not everything is fully built out yet.

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting and monitoring for selected subsidiaries
• Collection, quality assurance, and consolidation of data from multiple sources
• Cost monitoring for HQ and dialogue with department managers
• Budgeting and forecasting work in collaboration with the business
• Profit & Loss reviews and variance analysis
• Sales monitoring and consolidation of sales data
• Personnel budgeting and ongoing monitoring
• Support during quarterly reporting and investor presentations
• Currency conversions and analysis of currency effects
• "Superuser" responsibility in Planacy
• Contribute to improvements and development of reporting and data flows

We are looking for someone who

We believe you are a structured and self-driven controller profile who enjoys taking ownership and driving work forward. You are accustomed to working with large volumes of data, enjoy creating order, and have a natural focus on quality in everything you do.

You are also communicative and enjoy collaborating with different parts of the business, including colleagues who do not work within finance.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Business Controller
• Very good Excel skills
• Experience with reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Good understanding of accounting and financial flows
• Experience collecting and quality-assuring data from multiple sources
• Good system proficiency and experience with budgeting/planning tools
• Experience using Power BI
• Fluent English in both speech and writing

It is an advantage if you have previously worked in an international environment or with multiple companies/markets.
