At the National Board of Forensic Medicine (RMV), experts within forensic medicine, forensic chemistry, forensic genetics, and forensic psychiatry work to provide the judicial system with the answers they need. Every detail can be crucial, and whether you work directly with analyses and investigations or in a supporting role, you contribute to a legally secure society.

We are now looking for specialists who will contribute to developing and strengthening the agency's work within civil preparedness, total defense planning, and/or security protection, with placement at the agency's security unit in Stockholm. The function reports to the agency's Security Manager, who also serves as the Security Protection Manager.

About the position

These are strategic roles where you have a central position to coordinate and follow up on the agency's work within civil preparedness, total defense planning, and/or security protection.

You will have overall responsibility for driving and further developing the agency's work in these areas. You are expected to do this in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, such as relevant departments and units, as well as the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MCF), the Swedish Security Service (SAPOL), and other authorities within the total defense.

These roles are new at the agency, giving you significant opportunities to influence the design and working methods.

Your responsibilities

• Develop work related to civil preparedness, total defense planning, and/or security protection.
• Be responsible for, follow up on, and support work involving relevant analyses, such as risk and vulnerability analyses, security protection analyses, and continuity plans.
• Develop, prepare, and manage policy documents and internal processes regarding civil preparedness, total defense planning, and security protection.
• Plan and conduct relevant training and exercises.
• Provide qualified support to the agency's management and operations in matters concerning civil preparedness, total defense, and/or security protection, including follow-up and analysis.

Qualifications

An academic degree in a field considered relevant by the employer, such as political science, risk and crisis management, or law.

Many years of current and documented experience in work relating to civil preparedness, total defense, and/or security protection.

Experience working within a government agency or other public sector operations.

Very good knowledge of relevant legislation, particularly security protection legislation.

Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.

Experience writing various types of texts within public sector operations, such as decisions, analyses, or policy documents.

Merits

Completion of one of the Swedish Defence University's advanced courses in societal security or equivalent training.

Experience in project management.

Other information

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date is by agreement. Location in Stockholm.

The agency's units are located in various places in Sweden, so travel for work may occur. Based on operational needs, there is an opportunity to make an individual agreement regarding remote work for part of the working hours. The National Board of Forensic Medicine applies individual salary setting.

We apply a competency-based recruitment process where work psychological tests, knowledge tests, or work samples may occur. Prior to the employment of licensed healthcare personnel, checks are performed with the National Board of Health and Welfare and the Inspectorate for Health and Care.
