Our Operations
The Controller Unit is part of the Finance Department at the Municipal Executive Office. The unit's mission is to steer and support the managers of various operations in their planning and follow-up work, thereby enabling the Municipal Board's supervisory duties. The Controller Unit also contributes with other economic data and analyses.
Currently, we are eight independent and competent controllers with a focus on the various operations within the administration. We have great commitment and an open culture where we also appreciate having fun at work.
Your Mission
We are now looking for two controllers: one with a focus on schools and one with a focus on elderly care.
The work as a controller includes the following general tasks:
- Ensure and develop common processes and methods.
- Continuous development work, such as internal control, development of the systems the unit is responsible for, and preventive work against welfare crimes.
Responsibilities and tasks as a controller for schools and elderly care:
- Planning of detailed budgeting.
- Support managers in ongoing follow-up and forecasting work, as well as other economic investigations.
- Monitor and analyze the economic results of the operations, including assessing deviations, risks, and the need for measures in case of deficits.
- Report on the economic results of the operations, both in writing and orally, to the executive group and the board.
Your Experience
Requirements
- Worked as a controller with budgeting, follow-up, and forecasting.
- At least a bachelor's degree in economics or equivalent as assessed by the employer.
- Good knowledge of Office programs.
- Quick learner when it comes to new systems.
- Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
Merits
- Worked as a controller in a municipality, preferably towards schools or elderly care.
- Experience in developing and following up action plans.
- Communicative and pedagogical in speech and writing.

The position is full-time and permanent.
Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis. For these positions, a background check will form the basis of employment.
