Örnsköldsvik Gymnasium consists of two school buildings, Parkskolan and Nolaskolan. A total of approximately 1,800 students study here, distributed across five university-preparatory programs, ten vocational programs, as well as introductory programs and adapted upper secondary school. Örnsköldsvik Gymnasium is designated as a training school, meaning student teachers (VFU) are a regular part of the school.

This position is located at Nolaskolan. If you commute by train or bus, it is easy to get to Nolaskolan as it is within walking distance of both the travel center and the Örnsköldsvik Norra railway station.

Responsibilities

You will teach subjects including business administration and entrepreneurship, and potentially other subjects depending on your qualifications. Your work includes teaching, planning, documentation, and contact with students and guardians. The role also involves participating in collaborative work with subject teams and working groups.

The responsibilities include mentoring a number of students. This entails significant responsibility for following up on and supporting your mentees, as well as actively participating in student health services.

The position is a temporary assignment for the academic year 2026/2027, with a possible extension.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified upper secondary school teacher with subject competence in business administration and another subject.

We seek someone who enjoys challenges and innovative thinking, and who sees differences and diversity as a foundation for learning and development. You are a confident adult and a clear leader in the classroom. Being a role model and creating a good atmosphere in the student group and among colleagues is second nature to you.

We would appreciate it if you have experience leading group processes, the ability to create structure, and the skill to adapt teaching based on the needs of the group and individuals. You are receptive, take responsibility, are engaged, and creative.
