About National Control Unit

National Control Unit 1 is tasked with detecting, preventing, and combating all forms of crime and misuse of the Migration Agency's processes that pose a threat to Sweden's security or affect the Swedish welfare system. The unit coordinates the Agency's work against organized crime and national security. The unit has extensive internal and external collaboration regarding various types of crimes against our processes. Through operational analysis, the unit contributes to identifying vulnerabilities in the Agency's processes and systems and proposing measures to minimize or eliminate these vulnerabilities.

Main Responsibilities

• Share responsibility for the unit's analytical work, including producing the unit's analyses and reports on issues concerning threats, crimes, or misuse of the Agency's processes.
• Handle, analyze, and compile information within the area of responsibility.
• Be responsible for preparations and background materials for current issues related to the area of responsibility.
• Contribute to the unit's analysis work regarding e.g., leads, expertise, and background materials.
• Contribute to the unit's ongoing work and overall business development regarding e.g., handling of remits, business planning, and implementation of cross-unit activities and assignments.

Requirements

• An academic education of at least 120 credits that the employer deems relevant for the position.
• Experience of working with analysis, method development, and change management.
• Good communication skills and the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
• Good knowledge of the Office package; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Swedish citizenship.

Qualifications

• Experience of qualified investigative or analytical work.
• Experience of working in projects and/or project management.
• Experience of coordinating and implementing working methods and approaches.
• Experience of working with statistical methods and producing statistical background materials. Knowledge of SQL or Kibana/Elasticsearch.
• Good knowledge of the legal prerequisites for the Migration Agency's work.
• Broad experience and good knowledge of the Migration Agency's mission, operations, and processes.
• Experience of working at a law enforcement agency or of inter-agency collaboration at the regional level with crime prevention work.

Security clearance with register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) will precede the decision on employment, hence the requirement for Swedish citizenship for this position.

Location: Stockholm (Sundbyberg) or Malmö

Start date: As soon as possible according to agreement
