We are looking for a Project Manager within power supply for the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket).

This is a consulting assignment.

The position is full-time. Location: Choice between Trafikverket's offices in Malmö or Gothenburg.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The role of Project Manager involves leading projects related to converter stations and railway connections in Lockarp (Malmö), as well as other upcoming projects within power supply. The assignment covers responsibility for the entire project lifecycle, from investigation and design to implementation, testing, commissioning, and handover, with the goal of ensuring robust, safe, and highly available power supply systems.

Responsibilities

Act as Project Manager for the converter station and railway connection project in Lockarp (Malmö).

The projects are expected to start construction work in early 2027 and last for three years.

Other projects within power supply may also be added. All are referred to as "the assignment".

Over the next ten years, Trafikverket will build or renew distribution stations, transformer stations, and converter stations throughout the country.

The reasons for this are power quality issues, availability, age, or network changes.

The overarching goal is to deliver robust systems with very high availability and high personnel and operational safety, thereby future-proofing the auxiliary power system.

In the aforementioned serial projects (distribution stations, transformer stations, and converter stations), the client will take greater responsibility for design in-house compared to previous measures.

In the assignment, the resource consultant is expected to have high competence and ability in project management, as well as knowledge of power supply facilities.

In the assignments, the resource will lead work in all stages of the projects, i.e., investigation, design, implementation including testing and commissioning, and handover.

In the assignment, the Project Manager, together with the Project Director, will ensure that resources in the form of specialists, technical consultants, and contractors are used efficiently.

The assignment includes the requirement that the resource can perform parts of the aforementioned tasks themselves.

The assignment includes providing assistance within the business area of power supply for railways within the framework of the utilization rate specified in UK § 1.

The assignment includes transferring knowledge to employees regarding the tasks performed by the resource consultant.

Requirements (OBS, mandatory)

Ability to express oneself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Experience from working in project groups where coordination was important.

Category B driver's license.

At least 3 years of work experience as a Project Manager within the current technical area Project Manager General Railway. The work experience must not be older than 10 years.

Knowledge of laws and regulations as well as standards and prescriptions within the current area.

Requirement of at least 5 years of work experience (as a Project Manager or in a supervisory role) within new investment and/or reinvestment in the area of power supply facilities (10-130 kV) from projects with >10 MSEK in total turnover.

Requirement that the executing resource must have been responsible as a Project Manager or in a supervisory role for electrical construction and design (electrical-related) of at least three power supply facilities.

Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.

Meritorious

The consultant must have completed BAS-ÅSKYDD (Safety and Health in Construction - Lightning Protection).

Have completed training in the Client's Occupational Health and Safety Responsibility.

You have project management experience with power supply facilities.

You have experience working with relay protection and/or PLC/Scada.
