RESPONSIBILITIES

The home support role involves being a social support during contacts with authorities and doctor visits, but also providing pedagogical support in the home and local environment for individuals with mental health variations. We work to prevent and reduce the consequences of functional variations with the aim that the individual can continue to live in their home environment.

In the role of a home support worker, you will work together with individuals with various functional variations, such as intellectual and cognitive disabilities, autism spectrum diagnoses, and social psychiatric diagnoses. In our operations, we work process-oriented with the user in focus. We strive for clarifying pedagogy adapted to each individual. Great importance is placed on individual development based on the user's own prerequisites.

The role of the home support worker is to work in a supportive and motivating manner in participation with the user so that they can live their daily life as independently as possible. The home support worker looks for salutogenic factors in the individual, strengthens and develops them. The starting point for the intervention within home support is the user's implementation plan with individual goals and sub-goals.

You work together with five other home support workers where the municipality's geographical area is your workplace. The work is performed on all days and evenings. The Social Psychiatry Day Activity is located on the upper floor in the same building. The day activity consists of four colleagues and the activity is open on all weekdays. You will, if necessary, also work at the Day Activity.

Collaboration with external parties, e.g., the Region's Psychiatry and Health Center, takes place regularly.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have:

• Education as a treatment pedagogue, social pedagogue, or other education that the employer deems equivalent, with experience in similar work.
• Category B driver's license.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Additional qualifications include education in clarifying pedagogy, e.g., ESL, MI, CBT for home support workers.

Experience working within home support is meritorious. It is also meritorious if you have knowledge of methods such as motivational interviewing, low-arousal approach, and alternative and augmentative communication.
