Gudmundrå School is a secondary school with approximately 340 students, centrally located in Kramfors with good transport connections. We are now looking for a teacher for a special education group. We are looking for you with a special interest in meeting students who need a smaller context, who like to be challenged and think differently – and who see differences and diversity as a foundation for learning and development.

Responsibilities

In the role of a teacher in a special education group, you work closely with other educators in the special education group and maintain a close and trusting contact with both the students and their guardians. You also collaborate in the school's student health team and maintain close contact with the teachers in the regular classes.

You are responsible for planning, implementation, grading, and assessment of the students in the special education group. You document and evaluate interventions for the students you work with.

The work includes participating in the development of individual plans, with the aim that the student will gradually approach and return to the regular classroom environment. By identifying, analyzing, and removing obstacles, you contribute to enabling positive school experiences for the student.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a teacher's degree with eligibility for grades F-6 and other subject(s), or alternatively previous education as a teacher for grades 1-7. Knowledge and/or experience of working within NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) is meritorious.

You are a secure adult and a clear leader in the classroom. Being a role model and creating a good atmosphere in the student group and the work team is a matter of course for you.

You have the ability to create structure and adapt teaching based on individual needs. You are receptive, take responsibility, are engaged, and creative.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability, where particular emphasis is placed on cooperation skills, approach in relational situations, and the ability to create safety and motivation among students.
