We are now looking for a Network Engineer who wants to step right into one of Europe's most exciting technical environments. Here, you will work close to operations that literally extend into space, while ensuring that the critical ground infrastructure functions flawlessly around the clock.

In this role, you will become part of SSC's global network team, with a clear focus on Esrange. You are responsible for ensuring that the networks supporting our rocket, balloon, and satellite missions are stable, secure, and high-performing. The work is varied and involves everything from operations and advanced troubleshooting to development, improvement, and participation in exciting projects related to Esrange's continued expansion. You will work closely with both local and international colleagues and play a key role in developing future network solutions in an operation where there is no room for compromise. The role also involves on-call duty according to a rolling schedule.

Requirements

• Technical university degree or equivalent experience
• At least three to five years of experience as a network engineer
• Experience with IP, VPN including IPsec, routing protocols, and MPLS
• Experience with routing and switching, as well as firewalls
• Fluent English in speech and writing
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cisco and/or Palo Alto
• Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP or equivalent
• Experience with Cisco ISE and Cisco Catalyst Center
• Experience with data center environments and technologies such as VXLAN
• Experience working in a classified security environment or critical infrastructure
