We are looking for

We are looking for you who have a university or college degree in network technology, or equivalent education/knowledge that the employer deems equivalent. You are either a recent graduate or have a few years of work experience. The role requires a broad understanding of network technologies, protocols, and security principles, as well as in-depth knowledge of how they function in various network environments.

You possess knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and switching techniques (VLAN, STP, LACP) and have the ability to create network diagrams, write documentation, and work according to ITIL processes. Good language skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, are necessary. You should have experience analyzing and solving problems in large network environments. You have also used various tools to monitor network performance and possess strong problem-solving skills along with a structured approach to handling technical challenges.

It is an advantage if you have certifications in the field, such as CCNA or CCNP, and experience working in large, complex, and business-critical IT environments. Experience with network equipment from Cisco, HPE, or equivalent vendors is also a plus. You should also have knowledge of modern network solutions and integration with cloud services, as well as experience with SDA/SDN. Basic knowledge of Python, Ansible, or Bash for network automation is also considered an advantage.

What you will work with

Your main tasks as a Network Technician will consist of managing and developing the region's network, which mainly consists of components from Cisco, as well as procurement and operation of various technical systems. You will independently and in teams plan and drive ongoing operations, technical IT assignments, and write technical specifications and documentation. In your work, you will have continuous contact with colleagues, the region's operations, and external suppliers. We apply trust-based leadership.

Information about the position

We offer you a permanent full-time position, daytime hours. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreement.
