RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to work in an operation where you have the opportunity to make a difference in people's daily lives? As a support assistant at Paka, you will be an important part of creating a meaningful and developing daily life for people with various disabilities. You will work with a focus on strengthening the individual's independence and participation in society. Paka is an operation run as a day activity centre where individuals with decisions regarding day activities according to the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) or employment according to the SoL (Social Services Act) participate.

We offer a creative and social operation with a focus on productive work. The work consists mainly of tasks within Lego and printing activities, but other tasks may occur as needed. Sports activities are also conducted at the workplace a couple of times a week.

Working hours are during daytime on weekdays.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have education equivalent to assistant nurse or the Child and Youth Programme, or alternatively a university education that we assess as relevant within social work, pedagogy, or behavioral science. Merits include knowledge regarding autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and mental disabilities, alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), clarifying pedagogy, and low-affective handling.

We are looking for you who are stable, secure, and confident in your professional role and have a genuine interest in working with people. Through good handling and good communication, you create trusting relationships and collaborations. You will be part of a work team and need to have a social and flexible approach to work, and you must be able to work both independently and in a group. The work places high demands on the ability to take initiative and responsibility for the operation.

You need to have good skills in the Swedish language to communicate and document. Since travel occurs in the role, a B-driver's license is required. Forklift driving is included to perform certain tasks, and you will be given the opportunity to train and obtain a forklift license.
