Montessori Droppen is a F-6 independent school (and preschool) located in central Haparanda. We are currently looking for you, a trained physical education teacher who is passionate about teaching students in the subject of Physical Education & Health and about addressing pedagogical challenges with children of all backgrounds. We work together with the children to create a shared working environment where everyone – staff and students alike – can thrive and feel secure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a subject teacher at the school, you are responsible for developing the pedagogical work in collaboration with colleagues and in accordance with the Swedish National Curriculum for compulsory school. You will work in teaching teams and teach Physical Education & Health. Your work will focus on grades 4-6, where you will place the students and their knowledge development at the center.

You will be responsible for planning and implementing daily teaching. Documentation, assessment of students' knowledge development, and contact with guardians are important parts of the role. The position covers the entire 2026/27 academic year, with the possibility of extension and potential increase in employment percentage.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a certified subject teacher with eligibility to teach Physical Education & Health. You are a natural leader in the classroom, possess strong pedagogical skills, and have solid subject knowledge. You should have a relationship-building approach when interacting with students, guardians, and colleagues.

The position is approximately 5-10% and can be combined with other subjects.
