At Olivia, we work together to ensure everyone's right to live life to the fullest. We are now looking for another colleague to join our team. Is that you?
About the position
Are you looking for a meaningful part-time job where you can spread joy, take initiative, and spend time in both stable environments and on fun outings and playdates at home? We are currently seeking an engaged and driven young woman to work as a companion and substitute caregiver for a cheerful young woman born in 2006, living in Ljungsbro outside of Linköping. At home, she loves to dance, stay active, and create her own AI-generated songs, offering great opportunities for a creative and fun daily routine!
Your tasks and interests: The client has a strong interest in horses! During June, you will accompany her to Smestad Ridsportcenter on Thursdays.
After June, the arrangement will change as the riding opportunities at Smestad will end and she will no longer be at the riding school. The family has purchased their own Icelandic horse located in Kulltorp (on the way to Klockrike). From June onwards, the schedule will be more flexible, allowing for agreed-upon meeting times for riding.
During substitute care periods, it is important that you are active and present. The goal is to keep the client stimulated with fun activities. The family strongly encourages taking initiative – whether you want to bake scones, do crafts, go look at boats on the Göta Canal, visit the Air Force Museum, or join evening activities at the LSS youth center, go for it!
To ensure communication and daily life function as smoothly as possible, you will use picture support and a timetable to keep track of time and prepare her for what is to come.
We are looking for you who:
We are looking for a cheerful and positive young woman with a big heart. Having an interest in horses and stable environments is a plus but not a requirement. For us, the most important thing is that you genuinely want to be active and present in the moment and that you have the ability to spread a safe and lovely energy.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Category B driver's license (this is a requirement initially to ensure logistics for riding at Smestad and outings work smoothly). A car is available to borrow, so you do not need access to your own car. After June and on other occasions, it is also great to use specialized transport services.
Qualifications:
- Being a young woman with a positive and engaged outlook (male companions do not work due to diagnosis).
- Being proactive – you do not hesitate to plan a cozy coffee break or an outing, and you are skilled at being active and present in the moment.
- It is a big plus if you share her interest in horses.
Employment level: approx. 23% - 37 hours per month.
Working hours: The position starts in June with three fixed Thursdays (working hours 14:45–21:15). From mid-June, the client starts day activities. Working hours are distributed over late afternoon, evening, and some weekends (when combining substitute care and companionship on weekdays, shifts often start from 15:00 and can extend until 21:00).
Start date: Selection is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. We warmly welcome your application.
Things to consider before applying:
A prerequisite for starting employment at Olivia is that you can present a valid ID and submit a background check (personbevis) as well as any documents proving your right to work in Sweden. You can easily download the background check from the Swedish Tax Agency's website.
Due to the fact that the position may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that, according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3), cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old.
If you wish to work with children and young people under 18, you need to present a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record). It is important to order these extracts in good time, as the Police's processing time may vary. Due to a legislative change effective March 1, 2026, the register check will be expanded to include both extracts from the criminal record and extracts from the suspicion register.
You can easily order the extracts using BankID via this link: https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/barn-med-funktionsnedsattning/ (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/barn-med-funktionsnedsattning/)
We recommend that you ensure you have current extracts according to the new rules.
About the recruitment process: If you give your consent, we may share your profile with our sister companies if your profile matches another position within Team Olivia.
For you with Employment Support:
Olivia is an inclusive company. We welcome all applicants, including those who are entitled to some form of employment support through the Public Employment Service. It is voluntary to state this information in your application, or you can also inform us during a potential interview.
About collective agreements and benefits at Olivia:
As an employee, you are covered by a collective agreement and, of course, insured on the way to and from work in case something unforeseen happens.
