The City Services Department has an important and exciting mission. We deliver, coordinate, and develop services for the various departments of the City of Mölndal. The department employs over 300 staff members. We are organized into five operational areas: food services, facility maintenance, property services, transport, post and courier services, and city services.

Job Description
We are looking for temporary staff, including chefs and kitchen assistants, who want to work in a flexible role within our food services. At Food Services, you have the opportunity to be part of the journey toward becoming Sweden's best public food service provider! Here, you prepare meals for the world's most important guests: children, young people, and the elderly. You contribute to serving delicious, sustainable, and healthy meals every day.
Your role involves stepping in with short notice to cover for regular staff absences. Through the booking system TimeCarePool, you have the opportunity to control which days you are available for work. To ensure continuity in our operations, we require that you can work at least three days a week.
Upon employment, you will undergo an introduction to the food service operations and book shadowing and orientation sessions.
Qualifications
To work as a temporary staff member in food services with us, you need:
- A valid police certificate (background check)!
- Ability to understand, speak, read, and write Swedish
- Basic computer skills
- Be at least 18 years old
You should have food safety training. Experience working in large-scale kitchens is an advantage. It is important that you work efficiently under pressure, can balance different demands, and remain calm in difficult situations. The ideal candidate has a burning passion for cooking good food, wants to develop within the profession, and has a sense for service. Knowledge of special diets and various forms of food allergies is an advantage.
You must be able to receive food service instructions both in writing and verbally in Swedish. Therefore, as a temporary worker, you must master Swedish in both speech and writing.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3–6 months.
