Do you want to work with international issues within radiation safety and represent Sweden in the EU and global forums? We are looking for you with experience of international negotiations and subject matter expertise in energy, environment or radiation safety – for a role with great responsibility, variety and international focus.

Your working day. Sweden's tomorrow.

The Unit for Circular Economy, Chemicals and Radiation is responsible for issues within circular economy, chemicals and waste as well as radiation safety and environmental research. The work is carried out at national, EU and international level to implement the government's policy, develop instruments and regulations and steer the authorities that the unit is responsible for.

We are now looking for a case officer who will mainly work with EU and international issues within the field of radiation safety. In the role, you will independently be responsible for, coordinate and drive the international work. This includes, among other things, work related to conventions, IAEA, bilateral agreements and contacts with authorities and other actors. You will prepare government cases and instructions, participate in meetings and represent Sweden in both national and international contexts. The work also includes preparing material for the political leadership. Depending on your experience and interest, other tasks within the unit's area of responsibility may also become relevant.

The work is characterized by a sometimes high tempo and involves many contact surfaces, both within the Government Offices and with other authorities and international actors. The role also involves business trips abroad. Great importance will be attached to personal qualities.
