Are you educated as an economist or lawyer and want to work with the core operations of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (FI)? We are now looking for a Financial Inspector for the Markets business area.
About the Job
As a Financial Inspector in the Infrastructure Supervision unit, you will primarily work with targeted supervisory measures on companies that provide systems for trading financial instruments, clearing of derivatives, and companies responsible for settlement.
You will also participate in the supervision of companies' reporting in accordance with the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR).
The role also involves work with licensing procedures and contributing to policy and regulatory development issues within the unit's area of responsibility, both nationally and internationally.
You will collaborate with industry associations and other authorities in Sweden and the EU. The position also involves participating in the unit's business development, for example by streamlining processes, and supporting colleagues within the area of responsibility.
Your Education and Experience
We are looking for someone who
- holds an academic degree in law or economics
- has experience from relevant work in the financial sector, with a focus on one or more of the following areas: compliance/regulatory adherence, risk management, internal audit, law, regulatory design, or corporate governance
- has familiarity and experience in applying laws and regulations, both in Swedish and English
- expresses themselves well in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
It is an advantage if you have
- experience in policy and/or regulatory development within the financial market area
- experience from relevant international work
- experience in risk identification and risk analysis
- worked with data analysis
- knowledge of relevant regulations for the financial market, for example for central counterparties and trading venues.
