RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Specialist Nursing Assistant, you play a key role in ensuring, developing, and quality-assuring care and support work within the operations. You combine close and meaningful work with clients with a developmental assignment where you support colleagues and management in matters concerning care, working methods, and quality. Your work contributes to ensuring that every client receives safe, professional, and individually tailored care.

In this role, you are a clear role model and actively contribute to a salutogenic approach permeating the operations at the individual, group, and organizational levels. By inspiring, educating, and mentoring colleagues in both everyday and more complex situations, you create a learning and engaged work climate where competence is developed and the quality of care for the client is strengthened.

As a Specialist Nursing Assistant, you coach and guide colleagues within your area of specialization based on the operation's goals, routines, and delegation from the Patient Responsible Nurse (PAS). You are part of your regular work group and perform standard nursing care, while also contributing your specialist competence to other work groups when needed.

You have significant personal responsibility and independently drive issues related to quality, development, and improvement based on assignments from the unit manager. You work both preventively and remedially, follow up on measures, and actively contribute to the long-term development of the operation. The assignment also includes documentation according to current legislation and work with quality registers.

The role involves close collaboration with other professions, such as nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists, to ensure cohesive and safe care for the client. The assignment requires a professional approach, good collaboration skills, analytical ability, and confidence in working independently in an operation that is in constant development.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal requirements:

  • Education as a Nursing Assistant.
  • Further education as a Specialist Nursing Assistant.
  • Documented work experience within care and support.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as documentation is part of the duties.
  • Good computer skills and experience with documentation systems.

Collaboration skills: Very good ability to collaborate; actively contributes to an open and learning work climate.

Pedagogical, coaching, and leadership ability: Inspires and guides colleagues in daily work and takes a clear leadership role, especially in complex situations.

Independence: Takes responsibility for independently driving work according to the operation's goals and guidelines, while collaborating well with others for the greater good.

Analytical ability: Works systematically to analyze needs, identify risks, and handle complex situations, ensuring quality through preventive measures and follow-up.

Adaptability: Adapts working methods to changed needs and is flexible and solution-oriented, even during rapid changes.

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent.
Working hours: Schedule. Day and evening, including weekends.

The position is a full-time permanent placement within home care services. A probationary period may apply. An extract from the police record is required upon employment (for residential care homes).
