Our client is seeking a Supply Chain Lead to strengthen their collaborative team within the dynamic railway industry. Here you will contribute to meaningful and sustainable projects, while developing your expertise in logistics and supply chain in a forward-looking environment.

About the role

As a Supply Chain Lead, you will become a key player in the client's collaborative team. You will work to ensure smooth material supply for critical maintenance contracts and drive improvement initiatives in a dynamic environment.

Travel is part of the role, so you need to be flexible for travel approximately every other week or every third week to other locations in Sweden.

The position is a consultancy assignment starting immediately and initially until the end of Q1 2027.

Responsibilities

The role involves operational responsibility for material planning, purchasing, and spare parts management. You will also lead and coordinate supply chain activities during the mobilization of new contracts and collaborate with cross-functional teams for process improvements.

  • Actively participate in material planning and lead and distribute work within the team.
  • Drive improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure material availability for maintenance and optimize inventory levels.
  • Drive supply chain initiatives during the mobilization of Mälardalstrafik.
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs within the supply chain function.
  • Create and manage purchase orders.
  • Collaborate with other Supply Chain Managers nationally and with functions to implement and improve processes.

We are looking for someone who has

  • Extensive experience in material planning and purchasing.
  • Good proficiency in working with ERP systems and analyzing data.
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex contracts and requirements for material availability.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented with operational focus.

It is an advantage if you have

  • Education in logistics, supply chain management, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in driving improvement work.
  • Ability to contribute to team development and collaboration.
  • Experience with SAP or similar business systems.
