About the role you are applying for

Saps is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Swedish Transport Administration's (Trafikverket) VViS stations in the Western Region. The assignment covers preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, on-call duty and standby, as well as new installations, reinvestments, and reconstruction work in road traffic environments. The work takes place in technical facilities with high demands on availability, quality, documentation, and safety.

As a technician in this assignment, you work with troubleshooting, fault resolution, installation, component replacement, functional checks, and technical reporting. The role involves independent field work where you need to be able to analyze faults, perform the correct action, and ensure that the facility returns to its intended function.

We are looking for you who have experience as an electrician, service technician, or similar technical role and who have worked with troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, or wiring in electrical or process technical systems. For this assignment, experience with FU-, AU-, or installation work in facilities with similar technical complexity is particularly relevant, preferably in traffic-related environments or other business-critical infrastructure. The Swedish Transport Administration requires service technicians to have at least three years of experience with FU-, AU-, or installation work on equivalent or similar systems, experience working in road traffic environments, and the ability to perform the work independently.

For those who will work with electrical work or wiring, it is important that you have the right education, knowledge, and experience for the tasks at hand. The documentation states that the employer is responsible for ensuring that personnel performing wiring work with electrical equipment have appropriate competence according to ELSÄK-FS 2017:3, and that work where there is electrical risk should be based on training covering the Swedish Electrical Safety Authority's regulations and SS-EN 50110-1.

Evening/night work and standby are also included in the role.

• Wiring or electrical-adjacent work with the right education and electrical safety understanding
• Independent field work with high demands on quality and documentation
• Preferably work in road traffic environments or other critical technical infrastructure

Requirements:

• Driver's license
• Good computer skills
• Time reporting in digital systems
