Personal Assistant in Borlänge

As a personal assistant, you support a user in their home with all daily tasks. You work in a team with the user during your shifts, where it is crucial to actively work towards finding a good rapport and relationship. You work with great respect for the user's privacy and home. You contribute with your experience and knowledge to enable good cooperation with the user, your colleagues, and the manager, contributing to common working methods where the user's opinions are valued.

Job Responsibilities

The work is performed in the user's home, where the assistant supports the user with all daily moments. In the work group, 4 assistants work around the user on a rotating schedule, with shifts scheduled for every day of the week. The shifts are performed alone together with the user as a companion in the day's tasks.

Good physical fitness is an asset in the work, as the tasks involve high care and support during all transfers. The position also includes going out into society for various purposes, where the assistant drives the user's car.

Qualifications

Basic requirements for the position:

• Child and Youth Program with a focus on social work and pedagogical work, Care and Nursing Program with specialization in disability/care, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Category B Driver's License
• Good oral and written skills in Swedish.

Personal qualities:

As a person, you have the user's needs in focus in your work, but you can also look forward to capture future needs. In your work, you strive to collaborate by, together with the user and colleagues, being solution-focused and non-hierarchical to meet the user's needs, while also maintaining a good work environment. You are secure and independent in your work and work calmly and methodically in interaction with the user. You take charge of situations that arise and communicate in a constructive and non-hierarchical way, showing a genuine interest in your assignment, the user, and the work group.

Meritorious qualifications:

• Education in nursing/care
• Documented experience in high care and/or work within personal assistance
