Your workplace

In your role as a mapping and surveying engineer, you belong to the Environment and Building Unit. We are part of the municipality's technical administration and are facing exciting changes in the work towards a digitalized societal construction process.

Job Description

We offer varied tasks. You are responsible for the entire surveying process, from preparing materials and fieldwork to post-processing/map production, delivering the product to the customer. Additionally, you will maintain the municipality's primary map. You will also be partially responsible for the municipality's addressing system.

In your duties, you perform all types of common field surveys, calculations, and conversions within a variety of projects. You will collaborate closely with our GIS and GIT engineers as you jointly are responsible for the development of the Mapping, Surveying, and GIS functions. You will handle incoming cases digitally.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• has post-secondary education in surveying technology or another education we consider equivalent
• holds a category B driver's license (manual transmission)
• has good computer skills
• has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Merits

It is an advantage if you have:

• experience handling 3D data or BIM
• experience working within municipal operations
• familiarity with products from Leica, GeoPAD, Geo-Professional
• experience performing surveys and setting out with a single-operator total station as well as GNSS/RTK equipment
• experience and knowledge in GIS, CAD programs, and map management systems
