We are looking for an independent Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team. You will take on a clear technical responsibility and play a central role in our data chain, from data ingestion in Google BigQuery to further delivery in Microsoft Fabric. As a Data Engineer at Spiris, you will

Work at the heart of our data infrastructure and ensure that the right data is available, in the right format, at the right time — for the entire organization. Concretely, this means that you...

• Are responsible for and drive the flow from data ingestion in Google BigQuery to Microsoft Fabric.
• Handle data from many different sources and systems, both internal and third-party.
• Build robust and scalable data processes that maintain high quality over time.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues in and around the team, from technical infrastructure to analysis and business, to ensure quality, minimize technical debt, and ensure data reaches all the way from source to insight.
• Are accustomed to working with AI as a natural part of your toolkit, and you understand the importance of taking responsibility for security, orchestration, and long-term sustainability in what you build.

What we expect you to have done and can do

• Have solid experience building and maintaining data pipelines in cloud environments. What you build is secure, well-constructed, and sustainable in the long term.
• Master SQL and Python at a high level.
• Work with version control as a natural part of your workflow.
• Have a good understanding of how data flows between systems and experience working with APIs to retrieve and send data from external services.
• Fluently speak and write Swedish and English.

Plus:

• Experience working with dbt for transformation or Apache Airflow for orchestration.
• Experience with the Microsoft Fabric platform.

• Collaboration: Good teamwork skills and an unpretentious approach to your colleagues.
• Complex and proactive problem-solving: Troubleshoots and optimizes large data flows with a methodical and analytical approach. Easily grasps complex data structures in external systems. Is self-driven in identifying and implementing solutions.

Our recruitment process

Our standard process consists of two to three interview sessions and tests. We select the tests based on the role, which may include logic and personality tests or a case assignment. All candidates offered employment undergo background checks.
