Do you want to help create an active, inspiring, and developmental environment for our students? We are now looking for an engaged Physical Education teacher for Bergviksskolan.

Your Role

As a Physical Education teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching for students in grades 7–9. You motivate and inspire students towards movement, health, and well-being, both practically and theoretically, and adapt the teaching based on regulatory documents and the students' different prerequisites. You create a safe, inclusive, and active learning environment where all students have the opportunity to develop according to their own level and find joy in movement. You collaborate closely with colleagues and actively contribute to the school's joint development work.

Description of the Workplace

Bergviksskolan is located approximately two miles from the center of Söderhamn. Here, you are close to forests, Lake Bergviken, and the Ljusnan River.

The school is divided into two units, with students from preschool class to grade 6 in one building and students in grades 7–9 in the other. There is a well-equipped library and a student cafeteria. We have a good outdoor environment that stimulates physical activity.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is driven by setting goals and working towards clear results, and who has the ability to motivate and engage every student in movement and health. You naturally build safe and trusting relationships with both students and colleagues, contributing to a positive and developmental learning environment.

With strong pedagogical engagement, you adapt the teaching so that all students, regardless of prerequisites, can participate, develop, and find joy in movement. You are a clear leader who creates structure, calm, and an inclusive environment where everyone feels safe and can succeed.

The position requires a teaching license with eligibility in Physical Education.
