Lammet & Grisen is now hiring staff for the summer season, June 13 – August 24.

We are located in sunny northern Öland and serve roast lamb and pork. The meat is carved by our chefs right in the restaurant, and guests choose their own side dishes from various buffet tables. Vegetarian and vegan options are, of course, available.

Experienced troubadours entertain guests every evening from opening until closing. On the roof, there is a lovely terrace with views over the Öland alvar, where our guests can enjoy a drink before or after their meal.

Opening Hours

The restaurant is open in the evenings, generally from Monday to Saturday.

Responsibilities

To work with us, you must be organized and full of energy. You have a cheerful disposition and enjoy working with people. We will train you, but prior experience in the restaurant or café industry is a plus. We host many guests, between 400–900 per evening, which means a fast-paced environment.

You prepare the restaurant for the evening, for example by cleaning and wiping tables. You clear plates, cutlery, and glassware, ensure tables remain clean and tidy, and set them for the next seating. All staff working in the dining room are also responsible for washing and polishing all glasses. We work as a team where everyone helps each other.

Staff Meals and Community

Since our founding in 1969 on Öland, the shared time with delicious staff meals has been a tradition. Founder Bengan’s idea seems obvious today: "If you want to work well, you must eat well." Even after 50 years, this remains a crucial part of the evening routine. Staff and owners sit together in a relaxed atmosphere, chatting before the evening service. The chefs take turns creating delicious dishes from high-quality ingredients with a focus on variety, taste, and health.

Accommodation

We offer accommodation at Nybygården, a former guesthouse featuring a main building, a wing, a courtyard house, a summer house, and a large garden with space for volleyball and outdoor relaxation. A true summer idyll! The beach at Nyby is only 2 km away, and Ica is 1 km away.
