About the workplace

Närsjukvård Öst (Primary Care East) operates in both Sala and Västerås. The clinic provides primary care by meeting residents' needs for basic internal medicine specialist care, specialized palliative care, advanced home healthcare via AH-teams, qualified rehabilitation efforts, and mobile primary care teams in collaboration with municipal home healthcare services.

In Sala, there is a primary care ward (Ward 1), an AH-team, a primary care team, a medical clinic, and a rehabilitation unit (Rehabenheten). In Västerås, the clinic is responsible for running a primary care ward (NÄVA). There is also a specialized palliative ward, a palliative advisory team, an AH-team, a primary care team, and a palliative clinic.

At the Rehabilitation Unit, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, speech therapists, and rehabilitation assistants work together. We provide rehabilitation resources to all our units in Sala, but also have a physiotherapy clinic, speech therapy and social work clinics, as well as team-based outpatient care. We work from a person-centered approach.

Job Responsibilities

You will work at our physiotherapy clinic, where you will see patients in various areas, primarily within orthopedics and neurology. There is also the opportunity to work in other functional areas as our mandate is broad.

The work at the clinic includes physiotherapeutic tasks such as assessment, treatment, training, and counseling individually or in groups, as well as prescribing assistive devices.

We also provide physiotherapy resources at EPOS, which is the orthopedic elective surgery unit in Sala where hips and knees are operated on.

Mentoring students is included in the position.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist, preferably with a few years of experience in healthcare. We would like you to have experience or interest in neurological rehabilitation, as well as knowledge within orthopedics and internal medicine.

We also value if you have an interest or experience in business development and digitalization. Furthermore, we expect you to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, and a valid B-driver's license as travel occurs in the role.

As a person, you are calm and stable and can focus on the right things. You have a positive attitude towards your work and the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize. You adapt easily to new circumstances and can quickly change your perspective. You work well with other people, listen, and communicate in a receptive manner with both colleagues and patients.

Employment Terms

Permanent employment. 75–100%. Daytime Monday–Friday. B-driver's license. Start date by agreement.
