About the role

Plant Technology currently consists of approximately 25 people divided into two sections: Electricity & Automation and Mechanical Engineering. We are now looking for two project managers for these sections. As a project manager in Plant Technology, you work on projects in our facilities throughout the production flow. The role involves project management for new and existing process plants. You are responsible for delivering projects according to the desired scope within set timeframes and cost limits. The projects are carried out in close collaboration with operations and customers, covering feasibility studies, preliminary design, project execution, commissioning, and documentation. You will join a group of competent project managers and engineers within mechanical, media, electricity & automation, and construction technology. You work in close collaboration with other operations such as production, maintenance, procurement, occupational health and safety, and environment.

One of the roles has a broad focus on plant/mechanical engineering, while the other role has a clearer focus on electricity and automation, where experience in power systems and high voltage is advantageous. In your application, please specify which of the roles interests you most.

Your main responsibilities

• Drive feasibility studies and investigations regarding future investments
• Lead multidisciplinary projects according to SSAB project routines
• Drive and ensure that projects are delivered according to the desired scope within set timeframes and cost limits

About you

Advantageous qualifications

• Experience in planning and executing complex repairs or assembly work on machinery
• Experience as a GIS engineer and/or land projects
• Experience with systems and tools such as MS Project, IFS/SAP, CAD tools, SiteBase
• Experience from power systems and/or automation
• Experience with high-voltage installations
• Authorization for electrical work
