Do you want to develop products for innovative and sustainable construction? We are now looking for a curious and driven Product Developer for our production site in Öjebyn, Piteå. This role is a key part of our continued development of both products and processes, where you will have a central role in shaping the future development of Lindab Byggpartner.

About the role

In the role of Product Developer, you will hold a central position in the business, where you will further develop our products to meet the demands and wishes of the construction market. You combine technical development with a practical understanding of manufacturing and final assembly, collaborating closely with product management, production, sales, and customers.

At Lindab Byggpartner, we own the entire chain, from idea and development to manufacturing and sales, giving you great opportunities to influence and create value throughout the process. You work through the entire product lifecycle with a focus on improving and refining existing solutions through testing and analysis.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Develop new and improve existing products and product systems within the area of sandwich panels and high-profiled sheet metal.
• Design and dimension the products so they meet building regulations and certifications.
• Develop product standards, manufacturing drawings, and instructions for the manufacturing control of the products.
• Plan, prepare, and perform load and fire tests.
• Create technical instructions and aids for the design, construction, and assembly of products and product systems.
• Project management in cross-functional project teams.
• Creation and testing of prototypes, both digitally and practically.
• Train and support the organization to increase the technical understanding of our products and systems.

You report to the Product Manager at Lindab Byggpartner and are based at our production site in Öjebyn, Piteå.

About you

We are looking for you with a Master of Science degree in Building Construction or Mechanical Engineering, and with experience in construction design and/or product development within the manufacturing industry. Good knowledge of building technology and materials science is a prerequisite.

You work partly in AutoCAD and Revit, and experience with FEM simulations is an advantage. Within the group, Inventor Nastran is used. To succeed in the role, good knowledge of both Swedish and English, in speech and writing, is required. We are looking for you who are technically curious and driven by improving and developing products in practice.
