About the role

As a Machine Designer at VINAB, you will work on design within industrial projects. The role is varied and covers new design, redesign, and further development of existing solutions.

You will become part of a team of seven people, working closely with your colleagues as well as collaborating with other parts of the business such as project managers, foremen, and our workshops. A key part of the role is to ensure that our designs meet current requirements, standards, and high quality goals, while also being practically feasible and maintaining high quality.

Main responsibilities

  • Develop technical solutions and designs based on project requirements
  • Create manufacturing and assembly drawings, as well as other related documentation
  • Perform calculations and analyses
  • Ensure that designs meet current requirements, standards, and functionality
  • Collaborate with production, assembly, suppliers, and customers
  • Contribute to improvement work within the design department

We are looking for someone who

  • Has relevant education, or has acquired equivalent knowledge through work experience
  • Has experience in a similar role within the industry
  • Has experience working with Autodesk Inventor/Vault or similar programs
  • Has knowledge of mechanics, materials science, and manufacturing methods
  • Has good proficiency in Swedish and English
  • Has a valid driver's license (Category B)
  • Has good computer skills (Office suite)

What we offer

At VINAB, you work in a small, tight-knit office environment in Luleå, consisting of a mix of salaried employees and unionized staff. Here, everyone has their own office – we do not offer open-plan landscapes.

Working hours are during the day, and we apply trust-based working hours, with the possibility of some remote work.

We offer independent work with significant personal responsibility, where you collaborate closely with other parts of the organization. Travel occurs within Norrbotten, and a pool car is available.
