Do you want to work with economics in a socially vital operation where your work contributes to a robust and secure communications sector in Sweden? At PTS, you will have a broad and developmental role where you help ensure quality, structure, and follow-up in important projects. We are looking for you who thrive in a varied role where you combine diligence, collaboration, and a constant focus on improvement.
We work with what everyone takes for granted – the ability to communicate securely. With us, you have the opportunity to make a difference now and in the future. For everyone.
About the Unit
The Robustness Measures Unit currently consists of 11 people – five civil engineers/technicians, three lawyers, two economists, and a unit manager. We are a very engaged group with extensive experience and competence. Having fun at work is important to us, as is a flat hierarchy and respect for each other's different competencies.
About the Role
In the role of Project Economist, you work broadly with follow-up, analysis, and quality assurance of economic processes within the unit. You handle and follow up on invoices and requisitions, perform account reconciliations, and ensure that necessary documentation and correct records are in place. The work also includes ongoing support to project managers, colleagues, and the manager, as well as conducting various quality controls and some project administration.
You participate in forecasting and annual reporting, where you both prepare and compile data and contribute to audit and follow-up work. The role also involves actively contributing to the development and efficiency of working methods, for example in connection with the introduction of new systems, where the creation of routines and checklists may be part of the assignment.
The work is carried out in close collaboration with the unit's economists and manager, project managers within the operation, and the finance department. The role may also involve some contact with external parties related to the projects, which requires good collaboration skills and a service-oriented approach.
About You
We are looking for you who are collaborative and enjoy having many contact points, both within your own unit and with other functions. You are solution-oriented and flexible, with the ability to handle both planned tasks and more time-critical interventions when the pace varies. You work in a structured and meticulous manner, focusing on quality and meeting deadlines. At the same time, you are curious and proactive – you dare to ask questions, contribute to improvements, and share knowledge, for example by clarifying routines and working methods. You also have good communication skills and can adapt your message to the recipient and situation.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Education with a focus on economics or equivalent competence acquired through work experience.
- At least two years of relevant experience in economic-related tasks, e.g., following up on project economics, invoices, and account balances.
- Good computer skills, with a special focus on Excel.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience working as an economic assistant/administrator.
- Focus on accounting (either through education or practical experience).
- Experience working in an accounting system such as Unit4 or equivalent.
- Experience in project follow-up from an economic perspective.
- Basic knowledge of the public sector.
Our Offer
We take life seriously. With us, you can have a life on and off the job. If you feel good, we feel good. Therefore, we offer competitive salaries, flexible working hours, and the possibility of remote work. We also have a generous wellness allowance and two wellness hours every week.
In addition, you will enjoy favorable terms for lunch, vacation, parental leave, pension, and sick leave. Here you will work in modern activity-based premises at Hälsingegatan 38. As a government agency, we offer a secure and stable work environment where you can feel safe. We are creating tomorrow's society and must be at the forefront. With us, you will grow with tasks all the time.
Good to Know
The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period of six months. Location in Stockholm with a start as soon as possible according to agreement. Your job title will be Economist.
The position is classified for security and requires Swedish citizenship.
In order for us to be able to make a fair and objective assessment of your competence, we ask you not to include a photo, personal identity number, or address in your CV. We have chosen not to request a cover letter as we instead use selection questions. This is because we want to focus on your experience and competence, which contributes to a more efficient and fair recruitment process. Tests will be included in the process.
