Music Teacher 100% to grades 6-9 at Nivrena Unit

The Nivrena Unit is an F-9 organization comprising the school units Essvik and Solede (lower and middle school), as well as Nivrena (middle and upper school). The school's vision is "When students leave the Nivrena Unit, they are well prepared for the future." How you contribute in the role of Music Teacher

We are now looking for an engaged and inspiring music teacher for grades 6-9. The position is full-time (100%). As a music teacher here, you will have the opportunity to develop students' musicality, creativity, and stage expression through varied and inspiring teaching. You will become an important part of creating joy, community, and self-confidence among our students.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and evaluate music teaching according to the current curriculum.
• Teach singing, instruments, ensemble playing, music creation, and music theory.
• Adapt teaching based on students' different needs and prerequisites.
• Assess and document students' knowledge development.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and creative learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues and guardians to promote students' development and goal achievement.
• Contribute to the school's joint activities and development work.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for you who:

• Have a teaching license with eligibility to teach music for grades 6-9.
• Have good knowledge of the school's governing documents and pedagogical working methods.
• Are confident, clear, and relationship-building in your leadership.
• Have good cooperation skills and a professional approach.
• Are creative, engaged, and wish to inspire students to learning and creation.

Experience of teaching in primary school is meritorious.
