Description
Our information is a central part of our daily work, and the ability to easily find current documentation is key to success. We are looking for you who thrive on creating and maintaining structure and who have an understanding of different types of documentation within the property industry. The work involves both operational and strategic tasks as we are at a stage where we need to renew our working methods and processes.
The Property Department is responsible for the municipality's properties. Our mission is to be long-term property owners, contribute to the city's development, and create good environments for the residents of Karlstad. As an Information Manager, you will be part of the Property Support unit, which today consists of 14 employees and is organizationally located within the Property Department. Currently, we have one Information Manager on the unit, and this position is an expansion within the competence area. There are also opportunities to shape the internal division of labor in this role to some extent based on personal attributes and background.
Tasks
As an Information Manager with us, you will be cohesive and work long-term to manage, improve, and ensure the quality of the Property Department's information management.
The role includes providing operational user support to colleagues within the department. You deliver information in new, renovation, and extension projects and ensure that project deliveries meet the right quality standards.
You also work with archiving and publishing in our systems. Furthermore, you are involved in developing our guidelines for management and construction, which include the requirements of our digital information management, and based on these, you act as internal support to construction or project managers.
The assignment also includes the role of Archive Coordinator, which among other things involves responsibility for contributing to and revising the information management plan that governs sorting, disposal, and archiving.
As an Information Manager, you support project managers, construction managers, facility managers, and technicians to create attractive, accessible, and sustainable premises for our property portfolio of approx. 700,000 sqm. The role also involves collaborating with other departments and information managers to maintain and further develop overarching structures and routines in the municipality's information management.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a university education in the field or equivalent knowledge that we assess as comparable.
We would like you to have:
- experience of similar tasks within the construction and property industry
- good knowledge of drawing comprehension, drawing formats, and interpretation of 3D models
- experience from working in property systems
- experience from working with document management plans
- knowledge of technical standards
We are looking for you who are meticulous, have good cooperation skills, and work solution-focused towards established goals. You can work independently, drive your own work, and have the ability to lead work groups. We see that you are pedagogical and can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
The position develops, and based on the municipality's assignment, the tasks may change over time. Therefore, you need to be able to handle changes and be open to new tasks. This also gives you the opportunity to develop and both broaden and deepen your competence with us.
