Job Description
Do you enjoy working in an environment that is both creative and developmental? Are you looking for a long-term employer focused on sustainability, environmental issues, and corporate social responsibility? Now is your chance to start working at an award-winning workplace, play a key role as a community builder, and make a difference for many Gothenburg residents! We are expanding our team and are now looking for a Project Coordinator for the Property Development Department.
The Property Development Department has an important mission in developing properties and residential areas. We approach this with curiosity, forward-thinking, and adaptability.
No matter what type of construction project we handle, we always strive to deliver an even better project. Our perspective is broad, and we consider the city's goals to provide the best impact and benefit for our current and future tenants.
As a Project Coordinator, you will play a central role in ensuring and working with structures, processes, and compliance within and around the company's project portfolio and investment process, coordinating methods and structures from a corporate perspective.
The role of Project Coordinator is new to the department, offering opportunities for role development.
You are responsible for ensuring long-term viability in the company's project portfolio, where planning, project selection, and economic follow-up are essential. You will work analytically and systematically with the systems and documents/reports available or needed to create a good overall view, such as project management and economic systems.
You will have close dialogue and collaborate with investment controllers, project managers, maintenance coordinators, and department heads, where you will both support and drive progress. You will also have contact with other parts of the company, such as your colleagues in the company's managing districts. We are convinced that good communication at all levels is a key to success.
Qualifications
You need to have good competence and understanding of construction projects and project economics, with a background in working with construction projects. You have a good understanding of how multiple projects are planned, prioritized, and followed up in a project portfolio.
You have a university or civil engineering degree (in civil engineering/construction), or alternatively, several years of relevant professional experience.
To succeed in the role, you need to be self-reliant and structured. You are analytical and enjoy structures and processes. You also need to be communicative, understand the importance of working towards common goals, and be business- and result-oriented. Insight into and understanding of property economics is advantageous. It is also meritorious if you are accustomed to handling and analyzing large amounts of data and have very good Excel skills. You must be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
It is an advantage to be able to travel to our construction projects in one of the company's pool cars, so having a driver's license is beneficial. However, public transport is available to all our residential areas.
Other Information
You will belong to the Reconstruction Group and report to the Head of Reconstruction. Your closest colleagues in the group will be project managers/project leaders, project developers, and reconstruction coordinators, but you will also work closely with the investment controller who belongs to the Finance Department.
In addition to the Reconstruction Group, the Energy & Environment Group is also part of the department.
Our office is located in central Gothenburg at Södra Vägen 12.
Familjebostäder has an exciting mix of properties. We own and manage houses from the turn of the century, post-war housing from the 1950s, and million-program areas. With more than 70 districts of governor's houses, we are also Sweden's largest owner of wooden houses. This makes the work as a construction project manager with us both challenging and varied in scope and complexity.
As part of the application process, you must answer some selection questions before you can submit your application to us. Answer these questions independently and as thoroughly as possible, as they are part of the selection process.
We will also use work psychological tests as part of the continued selection process.
We quality-assure the recruitment process and conduct a background check on the final candidate. We may also contact you as a candidate after the recruitment process is completed to evaluate the candidate experience.
At our company, the atmosphere is pleasant and the ambition is high. Our core values are PEPS, which means that at work we are positive, engaged, reliable, and harmonious. We offer challenging and responsible work in an expanding company that is part of Sweden's largest public utility, Förvaltnings AB Framtiden.
Familjebostäder has been named one of Sweden's Career Companies for several years.
With a focus on actively contributing to making Gothenburg an equal and sustainable city, it means that through your job with us, you make a difference every day and thus contribute to something that is truly important. Welcome with your application!
