AVL is one of the world’s leading mobility technology companies for development, simulation, and testing in the automotive industry and beyond. The company provides concepts, solutions, and methodologies in fields such as vehicle development and integration, e-mobility, automated and connected mobility (ADAS/AD), and software for a greener, safer, and better world of mobility.

Job Description

Do you want to be a key player in a high-tech R&D environment where quality, flow, and precision are at the center?

We are now looking for a logistician with motor vehicle experience and technical understanding who wants to contribute to our customer's engine workshop operating efficiently and delivering world-class results.

AVL is a leading partner in Electromobility, Vehicle, and ADAS/AD within the automotive and energy industries. AVL MTC, our Swedish subsidiary, has approximately 250 employees based in Gothenburg, Haninge, Stockholm, and Södertälje. Here, you will work closely with experts in both Swedish and global teams and be part of projects at the absolute forefront of technology.

As a logistician, you are responsible for ensuring that engines, components, and test objects are moved smoothly and safely throughout the entire workshop process. In this role, you play a central part in supporting technicians, engineers, and testing personnel in an innovative development environment where precision and quality are crucial.

The work includes receiving control of engines and components, where you check, document, and verify incoming goods according to current specifications and quality requirements. You are also responsible for internal logistics and flow management in the workshop, ensuring that the right materials are in the right place at the right time to avoid bottlenecks and create efficient workflows.

An important part of the role is handling engines and R&D-specific test objects. This involves moving, labeling, and registering engines and components in a safe and structured manner, as well as assisting with preparations for testing and assembly. You also work to maintain order and cleanliness in storage and workshop areas and actively contribute to improvement work to maintain a high standard throughout the operation.

In addition, you are responsible for documentation and system management, where you register flows and materials in our logistics systems and participate in the development of procedures and working methods to further streamline logistics processes.

Profile

To thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you have:

  • Experience in logistics work, preferably from industry, production, or an R&D environment.
  • Good motor vehicle experience – for example, from workshops, engine handling, or automotive technical work.
  • Ability to handle heavy components in a safe and methodical manner.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Daytime shift.
  • Category B driver's license (required).

Merits:

  • Experience with logistics or business systems.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant technical field.
  • Experience with testing or development in a controlled environment.
  • Experience in customer-facing work.

As a Person

As a person, you are structured, meticulous, and thrive in a role where order, safety, and flow are the focus. You find it easy to collaborate with different professional roles and communicate clearly, whether dealing with technicians, engineers, or testing personnel. You are practical, motivated by solving problems and making processes run smoothly. A natural drive, sense of responsibility, and the ability to create clarity in both workflows and physical spaces make you a valued member of the team.

What We Offer

At AVL, you become part of a global technology company at the forefront of development, simulation, and testing regarding the future of mobility. As the world's largest independent player in the field, with over 12,000 employees internationally, we drive innovation for a greener, safer, and better world of mobility.

Our focus spans the entire value chain – from early idea and concept phases to industrialization and series production. We work with advanced technology in electrification, software, autonomous driving, digitalization, and energy-efficient drivetrains, helping our customers shape future mobility solutions.

Here, you will have a workplace where you can grow, influence, and help drive technological development forward – making a real difference for the future of mobility!
