In Jämtland County, work is underway to long-term improve competence supply. The Nav Project for Competence Supply and Development in Jämtland Härjedalen aims to strengthen the conditions for lifelong learning as well as local and regional competence supply in the county.

The project is driven by the County Administrative Board of Jämtland Härjedalen (Kommunförbundet Jämtland Härjedalen) in close collaboration with the county's municipalities and Region Jämtland Härjedalen. The goal is to increase access to prioritized education by strengthening and developing Lärcentrum as a hub for competence supply.

As an Analyst, you will work in close collaboration with the project manager and in coordination with the analysts at Region Jämtland Härjedalen. Some collaboration also takes place with analysts in the northern counties who are conducting similar projects.

About the Employer

The County Administrative Board of Jämtland Härjedalen works on behalf of the county's municipalities and drives development work within areas such as education.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a driven Analyst for a fixed-term contract until August 1, 2027. During this period, the main focus will be on the following three activities within the project:

1. Continuously update and develop the reports produced with municipal-level statistics for the municipalities.
2. Support competence mapping of the business sector.
3. Conduct a second competence mapping in the municipality and region, including evaluation and development based on previous results.

The work will further involve:

• Compiling and analyzing statistics and trends within the labor market and education.
• Contributing knowledge bases for the development of regional and local strategies for competence supply.
• Collaborating with the project manager and other stakeholders to ensure data-driven and well-founded decision-making.
• Visualizing and presenting data in a clear and pedagogical manner.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has post-secondary education in fields such as social analysis, statistics, economics, or another area deemed relevant by the employer.
• Has experience in analytical work, preferably within the public sector.
• Is accustomed to handling and analyzing large datasets and has good knowledge of R (Quarto and Markdown) and Power BI.
• Has good ability to visualize and present data in a clear and pedagogical way.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Knowledge of available data sources within the field.
• Knowledge of competence supply issues – for example, the education system and labor market, particularly in regional and local contexts.

Other Information

The position is a full-time fixed-term contract until August 1, 2027. Interviews may be conducted on an ongoing basis.

The establishment of the position is contingent upon necessary decisions from funders, which is expected to be confirmed in June 2026.

Workplace

Location-independent within Jämtland County. The County Administrative Board of Jämtland Härjedalen works remotely with opportunities for collaboration at the office in Östersund.
