As a security guard at Avarn Security, you will have an exciting daily routine where your task is to strengthen our customers' sense of security and contribute to a safer environment. A security guard plays a central role in maintaining safety and security in various settings. The profession involves preventing and managing risks by monitoring premises, patrolling areas, and ensuring that security procedures are followed. Security guards often work in close contact with people and need to remain calm and professional in both everyday situations and during incidents. The work can range from alarm responses and access control to reporting deviations and collaborating with the police or other authorities. The role places high demands on responsibility, integrity, and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.

Qualifications: We are looking for security-conscious, social, empathetic, and positive individuals with inner stability and a natural drive to help others. Security guards work in many different environments with very varied tasks - we are looking for you who enjoy working with people and have a clear service-oriented commitment. We would also appreciate it if you could communicate fluently in English.

Requirements for the position

In addition to the personal qualities we seek and describe, you must meet basic requirements to qualify for the position:

• be of legal age before starting the assignment
• high school diploma
• good Swedish skills in speech and writing
• Category B driver's license

You must also be unencumbered by criminal records*, drug-free, have a sound financial situation, as well as good health and physical condition to be employed by Avarn Security.

Security guard training is meritorious for these positions. Other merit qualifications include experience in the security industry, some technical knowledge, additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, and previous experience working in public environments.

If you have the right profile for Avarn and move forward in the process but do not already hold the prescribed education (VU1, VU2), we will cover your training! The security guard training (VU1, 9 days) is conducted at BYA (The Security Industry's Vocational and Occupational Health Committee). Participation in this is a prerequisite for employment.
