About the Energy Office in Mälardalen

The Energy Office in Mälardalen is one of Sweden's 15 regional energy offices and works for a sustainable energy and climate transition through advisory services, collaboration, and projects. The operations cover Södermanland, Västmanland, and Uppsala counties and are carried out in close cooperation with municipalities, businesses, authorities, and higher education institutions.

About the position

As an Energy and Climate Advisor, you provide advice to private individuals, companies, and organizations regarding sustainable and cost-effective energy solutions. The work includes advisory services via phone, email, digital meetings, and site visits, as well as information campaigns, lectures, and collaboration with municipalities and other actors. The role is independent and varied, with support from engaged colleagues. You will also collaborate with municipal functions, businesses, and other external actors in various projects and activities.

• Energy systems in buildings
• Electricity contracts and consumption
• Solar energy and energy storage
• Electric vehicle charging
• Renewable energy
• Energy renovation and new construction

We are looking for you who

• Have education within energy, energy engineering, technology, or another area that the employer deems relevant.
• Alternatively, have working life experience considered equivalent.
• Have good knowledge of energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable energy systems.
• Have good collaboration skills and are easy to create trusting relationships with both younger and older generations.
• Are service-oriented and have a consultative approach to work.
• Are pedagogical and enjoy explaining complex issues in a simple and clear way.
• Are self-reliant, structured, and responsible.
• Have good digital maturity and feel comfortable in both physical and digital meetings.
• Master Swedish well in speech and writing.
• Have a Class B driver's license.

It is meritorious if you have experience with:

• Environmental and sustainability work, for example, work with climate goals, circular approaches, or monitoring of environment-related key performance indicators.
• Project management, preferably in roles where you have been responsible for planning, monitoring, and collaboration between different actors.
• Information dissemination, education, or other communicative efforts aimed at different target groups.

Work form and location

The position is located at our office in Eskilstuna, with the possibility of hybrid work. Travel within the area of operation occurs, mainly during the day. Work in the evenings and on weekends may occur.

Employment type

Permanent full-time position. Probation period may apply.

Start date

By agreement.
