We are currently looking for an Automation Technician for the Service Department in Stockholm.
At Envac Sweden, you will become part of an exciting company with long-term customers. You will step into a competent team and receive a thorough introduction and close collaboration with experienced colleagues to quickly get up to speed with the role.
About the Role
As an Automation/Service Technician within automated waste collection, you play a central role in ensuring and further developing our customers' facilities. In your daily work, you troubleshoot, repair, optimize, and install and commission new systems and solutions at customer sites. By programming and configuring control systems, you adapt the facilities to the customer's needs and ensure they deliver high performance and operational reliability.
An important part of the role is the technical dialogue with our customers. You participate in on-site and digital meetings where you analyze the facility's status, present improvement proposals, and argue for solutions that increase availability, safety, and efficiency. You enjoy "selling in" your ideas, making complex technology understandable, and building trust through your competence and professional demeanor.
You are also responsible for technical support, advice, and documentation of completed work, as well as planning and coordinating service assignments to ensure smooth and planned operations. Through preventive maintenance and regular inspections, you work proactively to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of the facilities.
With your strong technical interest, curiosity about smart solutions, and solution-oriented attitude, you will become a key person in our dedicated team – and simultaneously contribute to more sustainable, efficient, and modern waste solutions in our cities.
We are looking for someone who has:
- At least upper secondary education in electricity, automation, technology, or equivalent.
- Experience working with electricity and automation, preferably with a focus on troubleshooting and control and regulation technology.
- Experience with programming and configuration of control systems is an advantage.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and technical documents.
- Category B driver's license and good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Experience working with automated systems or in similar technical areas is an advantage.
As a person, you are technically interested, solution-oriented, and responsible. You enjoy working independently and adapt to different work environments. As a communicative team player, you are flexible and always have the customer's best interest in focus. You work in a structured and efficient manner, even under pressure, and strive to build long-term relationships with both customers and colleagues. You do not mind being on call and working some weekends (approx. every 5th–6th week).
